Joshi Jewels
Three separate Shopify stores with no central inventory causing stock errors and duplicate sales
JewelleryOS multi-store management with unified stock and central operations
Zero stock errors, 45% reduction in operations cost, full inventory visibility across three cities
“We had three stores running on three separate systems with three different price lists. A customer would order something from our Mumbai store that was already sold in Pune. JewelleryOS gave us one system for everything.”

The challenge
Joshi Jewels is a family-run jewellery chain with flagship stores in Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik. Founded in 1999 by Ramesh Joshi, the chain now employs 87 people across three locations and manages a combined catalogue of over 3,500 unique pieces.
As the business grew, each store developed its own Shopify store managed by a different person with different naming conventions, different price update schedules, and different product descriptions for the same pieces. There was no shared inventory.
The result: a customer could buy a piece online from the Mumbai store that was physically in Nashik, had already been sold in Pune, and had the wrong price because Mumbai's admin hadn't updated that category yet.
The cost of fragmented systems
Each location had a part-time admin whose primary job was managing the Shopify store. That's three people doing the same work three times, with three different logins, three different product libraries, and three different order management flows.
When a stone was moved between stores for a customer to view in person, updating inventory across three systems was a manual, error-prone process. Twice in a single quarter, the same piece sold online and in-store simultaneously, leading to expensive customer compensation.
The JewelleryOS solution
JewelleryOS's multi-store module gave Joshi Jewels a single product master with location-level inventory tracking. One product entry, three inventory counts, one price list synced to MCX across all three storefronts.
The central admin panel lets the operations team in Mumbai see what's in stock at each location in real time. Transfers are logged digitally. When a piece is sold at any channel, all other channels update immediately.
All three storefronts share the same product catalogue and branding, but each has location-specific pages for in-store appointments and local SEO.
The results
Since going live on JewelleryOS, Joshi Jewels has recorded zero inventory errors or duplicate sales. The three-admin structure was consolidated into one central operations role, reducing administrative headcount costs by 45%.
The unified price list means all three stores always show the same price, eliminating customer confusion when they compare prices between locations. The team reports that this alone has improved customer trust measurably.
Suresh Joshi is now planning a fourth location in Ahmedabad and expects the expansion to require no additional administrative headcount.
